The Job Titles of the testers have pretty similar responsibilities to those in a normal company.

The difference, if any, is that we have adopted a system that would normally be unthinkable, in which you can choose the position of your choice.

However, this system is also expected to be revised in the second wave of hiring.

I. Four Basic Job Titles

1. Warrior

A position that uses vanguard weapons as its main weapon.

The lifeline that supports the frontline by cutting into the enemies as the vanguard and serving as a shield for the rearguards.

In the story so far, the only pure swordsman is the main protagonist, Jiro Tanaka.

Characteristically, despite differences in fighting style, their physical status parameters easily improve. Moreover, although the use of magical power channeling, such as Body Enhancement, can also increase Magic, the growth in this status parameter is not as great as those in the magic-focused jobs.

Naturally, since they are the vanguard, they are in the most dangerous position in the dungeon.

Therefore, even now there are only three testers who can play the role of a vanguard, and if it is a pure vanguard, there is only one.

2. Archer

Although they are called “Archers” it is a generic term for the so-called “Rearguard Weapon User” job.

In dungeons, where guns are useless, arrows that can be easily filled with magic power and arrows created by magic are the main weapons.

However, the popularity of this profession has been slow to grow due to the difficulty of handling bows and running out of ammunition, and at present, they are only slightly ahead of warriors.

They are often combined with scouts, and their job is a prominent actor during reconnaissance.

Unlike warriors, their defensive stats such as Durability tend not to improve, but their Agility and Dexterity both improve faster.

Statuses related to magic are also easier to increase than those of warriors.

3. Healer

Healers, also known as “Healers” or “Heroines,” are in charge of recovery. [T/N: Yes the author said heroine “ヒロイン”. No idea why. Just accept that Masaru is a heroine.]

They are also considered the lifeline for a party and are also good for the wallet as they save on the usage of recovery medicine.

They are often dual-role magicians, and they are often seen as chasing two rabbits, one recovery magic and the other offensive magic, that’s why oftentimes their skill level in both is not good enough.

However, if they concentrate on their own magic, they lose all offensive power, so it is difficult to find the right balance between the two.

It is also important to manage magic power consumption and to have the ability to see the bigger picture.

Naturally, the growth of Magic is high, but Dexterity and Knowledge also grow as they use magic that affects the body.

If they also include combat training, like Masaru Tokorozawa, it is possible to increase their physical status parameters as well, but the number of Healers who can fight is currently small because of the well-established image of Healers as rearguards.

However, the number of people in this job is reasonable because of the idea that they do not have to fight.

4. Mages

This job is synonymous with the fantasy genre.

It is a profession that is roughly divided into offensive and support mages, and currently, 70% of testers fall into this category.

The majority are offensive magic mages, but there are also mages who can use recovery or support magic.

This position has firepower that is second to none when it comes to defeating opponents, as well as crowd control. Magic is the easiest to increase in terms of status parameters.

On the other hand, their physical status parameters are difficult to increase unless the individual intentionally trains for it. However, their defensive aspect, especially the inability to equip heavy equipment, leaves a lot of uncertainty.

In addition, although the total amount of magic power is greater than any other job, they also consume magic power heavily.

It is the most popular and the most flashy job.

The company’s basic concept is that a party should be able to attack a dungeon with the above four basic jobs, and if they can be effectively used, there should be no problem, but this is only the basic plan. This may be fine for the present, but in the future, even if a party has less than four individuals, it is expected that the party should be able to handle a single job well or be able to perform all the jobs by themselves.

The company would also like to see the development of new jobs.

II. Multi-class Jobs

1. Magic Swordsman

A position that is similar to that of the typical protagonist.

The combined job of a warrior and a mage.

Their main weapon is usually a sword and they can increase their attack power using offensive and auxiliary magic. There is a lot to learn, and if one becomes proficient, he or she will be a great asset to the battle, but at the initial stage, it is easy to fall into a position of poor adaptability.

There is growth in their overall status parameters.

Currently, Kaido and Hizumi have this job.

They can also choose this option at the time of training, but the training content will therefore be the same as taking two jobs.

A [Job Title] is basically the position of an individual in battle, an indicator of what you can do and how you should move, and a kind of qualification.

In this company, it is better to be able to do other things than to do only one basic Job Title, doing so would lead to the individual having a good reputation.
