~3rd Person Perspective~
Enrique reported to Kiddish and Vold in the private room of the Faguilded Adventurer’s Guild.
“Is there any problem?” (Kiddish)
“Yes, it’s okay. Everything is going well.” (Enrique)
“I received a good report. I’m really looking forward to it. Hahahaha.” (Vold)
“I heard you were running around like a bloody man the other day. It’s not that I am suspicious of you…” (Kiddish)
“Yes, but you did say something that caught my attention, so I thought I’d check it out.” (Enrique)
Enrique said with a calm expression.
He wasn’t even phased by Kiddish and Vold’s questioning.
With that attitude, the two are probably convinced.
There is no problem at all.
If there is something wrong, his words would have reflected it.
That’s not the case with Enrique at the moment.
“It’s okay. I’m sorry to interrupt your work.” (Kiddish)
“No, I’m very sorry to have let you hear such a thing, too. I wonder if he will surrender during the second tax collection. I don’t think he can pay…… Please understand.” (Enrique)
“Do you want to collect the second tax right away? Kiddish do it as soon as possible. I can’t wait.” (Vold)
“That’s what he really is … I’ll do it as soon as possible, so wait.” (Kiddish)
“Pardon me. Hahahaha.” (Vold)
Vold laughs with a creepy face.
Enrique was smiling without changing his expression.
“Then, I’m going to… *cough**cough*!” (Enrique)
“Hey, is it labyrinth fever?” (Kiddish)
“Sorry, I’m sorry. *cough**cough*…” (Enrique)
“Cover your mouth… Damn.” (Vold)
Enrique bows and apologizes.
“It’s okay, there’s a cure for this. It’s not a problem, because the medicine is already available from Burg.” (Kiddish)
“That’s right. I hate this. I feel so tired.” (Enrique)
“If you’re not well, you don’t have to do anything.” (Kiddish)
“You think you’re somebody else, don’t you? Kiddish, try being sick yourself. If you get it, you won’t feel like doing anything for real.” (Vold)
Two people joked around.
Enrique thought he might be suffering from labyrinth fever when they told him.
The two left the Adventurer’s Guild.
Enrique stays behind to fill out the paperwork for the second collection.
~3rd Person Perspective~
A vast forest spreads in every direction.
People are leisurely riding down the highway.
The sound of horses galloping rhythmically could be heard.
The sunshine was pleasant and made the travelers feel sleepy.
Dirk and his companions were moving at a comfortable speed toward Burg.
It was 3:00 in the afternoon when they arrived at Burg because they were driving the carriage slowly.
As they passed through the forest, we saw a town built from hollowing out a mountain.
The walls were probably four meters high with stone walls.
They passed through the gate to enter the city.
There were waterways everywhere, and the town was covered in vegetation.
There were rare medicinal plants and flowers planted.
A sweet scent tickled the noses of Dirk and his companions.
They felt as if their fatigue was being lifted.
“Well, it’s quite a beautiful city, isn’t it.” (Dirk)
“That’s right. It’s soothing to watch.” (Bud)
“It’s no wonder the city is connected to Eclix.” (Dirk)
“There are many herbs used for medicines that are planted all over the place. And… there are many beautiful kittens!” (Carl)
“Oh, Carl, shut up a little.” (Tryst)
“Why! Isn’t this good? You’ll be able to use your fortune here. I want to feel good like Kaoru, I want a beautiful woman to…” (Carl)
“Carl… You didn’t come to play, right?” (Bud)
“Oh, I’m sorry. But I was about to turn into a wolf because of the lack of women on the island.” (Carl)
“Carl is still the same…” (Dirk)
Dirk chuckled while saying this.
Bud and Tryst are both amazed and disappointed.
Carl makes a bitter smile while scratching his head.
He had a bummed-out expression.
“Okay, let’s do some inquiries.” (Bud)
“That’s right” (Tryst)
“I will greet the lord here.” (Dirk)
“Okay, then we’ll be listening, so when Dirk-san is done, stay in the Adventurer’s Guild.” (Bud)
“OK, see you later.” (Dirk)
With that said, Dirk went to a large mansion in the innermost part of Burg.
Bud and the others broke up to gather information about the healer who lived in the remote area of the city.
~3rd Person Perspective~
Dirk arrived at the largest mansion in the city.
He presented his adventurer’s card to the gatekeeper and told him of his status.
The gatekeeper immediately asked him to go tell the lord about it.
Dirk bowed repeatedly to the gatekeeper and apologized for not informing him beforehand.
The gatekeeper became unnerved with Dirk, who was too modest for a nobleman.
A little while later, the gatekeeper came back from inside and told Dirk to come in, and had let him through with a smile.
Somehow, the lord is a fan of Dirk.
As an adventurer, his activities such as discovering the unknown continent seemed to be surprisingly famous.
And the lord seems to have said that he wants to hear the story from Dirk himself.
Dirk was wondering how to tell Bud and the others, thinking that the conversation was going to belong.
When he entered the mansion, the inside was a serene space.
There are few things that exude lavishness.
He was even greeted by several maids.
Everyone is beautiful and young.
Demi-human maids were also hired.
The decorations in the room seemed to be mostly small items.
I was led to the back of the room, and when the door opened, a small girl was sitting on a large chair.
Her hair was just long enough to be braided.
Her beautiful pale green hair was beautiful and clear.
She is petite, and she is just beginning to show.
She is wearing airy clothing.
As she looked over the documents, she held the seal and stamped the seal with a pop, letting the magic flow into the seal.
When she noticed Dirk, the girl jumped down from her chair and came running towards him.
She had a big smile on her face as if she was happy.
She came to a stop in front of Dirk.
The moment she saw Dirk’s face, the girl tensed up and started talking with her mouth nervous.
“Di-Dirk-sama! Welcome to Burg.” (Girl)
“Yes, thank you for taking the time to see me on your busy schedule. I’m working as the mayor of Vista Island. My name is Dirk Leydet.” (Dirk)
Dirk said this while bowing deeply.
The girl was flabbergasted at the sight of Dirk.
Her own most respected Dirk-sama was bowing deeply to a young girl like her.
In a state of panic, the girl also introduced herself.
“I’m Raz Kruger, the lord of Burg. I’m ten years old.”
That said, Raz also bowed down.
The two looked at each other and laughed.
The maids have never seen such a distraught figure of Raz.
Therefore, everyone is surprised.
“Why is Dirk-sama here today?” (Raz)
“I’m embarrassed. I’m currently looking for a healer for certain reasons.”
The moment he heard this, Raz’s expression clouded over.
Yes, Raz was the lord of this city, and she had built it up to this point, but the power of the healers had overwhelmed her, and now she was losing in terms of power.
That’s why she can’t ask the Healer’s Guild to send someone to Vista Island.
Knowing this, Dirk did not ask Raz to do so.
Instead, he asks him to tell him about a healer living in a remote part of town.
The moment she hears this, Raz gives off an air of maturity.
She puts her hand on her chin and searches through her memory.
Then, “Oh!” She said, “I think I have an idea of who it is.”
“There is one person. They have a certain amount of skill.” (Raz)
“Oh, really? It was a year ago, so I thought he was gone.” (Dirk)
“Yes, but there are some difficulties…” (Raz)
“Hmm. I understand somehow. He rubbed the Healer’s Guild the wrong way.” (Dirk)
“Yes, so I don’t know if they’ll accept or not of you as well. If possible, I’d be happy if you could sign the contract…” (Raz)
From Raz’s tone, he wondered if there was anything else, but Dirk didn’t ask anymore.
He thinks it’s best to meet the person and listen to them directly.
As for personal matters, Dirk moves to narrate his story to Raz.
Then, like a flower was blooming, she happily asked what she wanted to hear.
Dirk also answered what he was asked about, and Raz was moved by the story of an unknown continent.
With shining eyes and an expression fitting her age, she listens to Dirk’s story.
She said excitedly that she would like to visit such an unknown continent one day on her own.
“It’s still wonderful. Dirk-sama has done a tremendous achievement.” (Raz)
“I’m still a long way off. This world has only had a quarter of it explored. I found only a piece of it.” (Dirk)
“Still, it’s a new continent! A new continent that has never been found yet! What kind of people live there? …Is there a labyrinth there? Ah, I want to go too.” (Raz)
Dirk saw Razz and chuckled.
He wondered if his own daughter would say something like this when she grew up and talked like Raz.
While they were conversing, the sun was already setting and the surrounding was getting dark.
“Oh, time goes by quickly. I think it would have been more fun if mother was here.” (Raz)
“Raz-san’s mother? Oh! Kruger’s your last name?” (Dirk)
“Ahaha, Dirk-sama, did you only notice this time?” (Raz)
Raz says with a giggle.
“Pardon me for not realizing. So you’re a daughter of a colleague… How is Bernice?” (Dirk)
“She’s still looking for an unknown continent. Leave the city to her daughter.” (Raz)
“She’s still the same…” (Dirk)
“It can’t be helped, because Dirk-sama found one first.” (Raz)
“No, Bernice was faster. That’s why she became an aristocrat and was entrusted with this land. Well, I can’t say I was shocked. She was pregnant, and yet she was going on a normal adventure.” (Dirk)
“Yes, she said that she was very angry at that time. I heard that she was in a flurry after giving birth and immediately returned to work.” (Raz)
“Just as headstrong as ever…” (Dirk)
“Until three years ago, Burg was also a small village. I felt like I was able to barely manage it.” (Raz)
“For Bernice, it might be too much for her, because she can’t sit still. I think you’re more suited to this kind of work than she is, Raz-san.” (Dirk)
“No, not at all. When the city got bigger, so did the troubles.” (Raz)
She says with a sigh.
Dirk also sighs.
Similarly, managing a city is difficult.
However, he’s impressed that she’s been able to do this kind of management since she was little, but he knew that the city might not grow with Bernice.
On the other hand, he wondered if she grew up immediately because of a bad role model.
But he thinks it’s rude to Bernice.
“Oops, I have to go. I kept my friends waiting.” (Dirk)
“Oh, I’m sorry. Did I…” (Raz)
While they were talking, a maid knocked on the door.
When they replied and the door was opened, it seems that Bud and the others have already visited the mansion.
They’ve been waiting in the Adventurer’s Guild, but Dirk hasn’t come back after some time, so they came instead.
With an awkward smile, Dirk asks the maid to send him to Bud and the others.
He said goodbye to Raz and left the room.
Guided to the parlor, when they met, they had good expressions and reported the information they had obtained.
They decided to go to the healer tomorrow.
Organizing the information, the healer’s name is Watra Shriek.
He argued with the Healer’s Guild, and now he barely makes ends meet.
The cause of the trouble is that the new disease may be caused by a small creature that is invisible to the eye. The Healers’ Guild has been arguing with him about this.
The Healer’s Guild cannot confirm it.
“If there is, he should prove it”, and it seems that that idea was fanned.
Of course, Watra can’t do that.
He couldn’t prove it, and most of all, he was even told by the Eclix that he was crazy for saying such a thing. So he can’t even help himself.
Currently, he is living off his savings.
“Do you think he is a brash person?” (Dirk)
“No, I don’t know, but we’ll know when we meet.” (Bud)
“Yeah. We won’t know until we meet. Let’s go to the inn for now.” (Dirk)
“That’s right. I did my best today, so can I drink alcohol?” (Carl)
“Carl you…” (Tryst)
“Well, isn’t it good, Tryst-san. Everyone, you worked hard all day today, so please drink.” (Dirk)
“As expected of Dirk-san!” (Carl)
“Don’t drink too much Carl.” (Tryst)
“I know. Leave it to me.” (Tryst)
He smiled and gave a thumbs-up.
Bud and Tryst could not think of a more unreliable face.
When they left the house, the maids politely asked them to visit again.
Dirk bowed deeply and left the place.
The four of them went back to the inn and spent the evening eating dinner and relaxing.
