Mid Boss Chapter 21: After Five

~3^rd Person Perspective~

This is the first floor of the Cave of Silence, at the employee cafeteria—Goblin Restaurant.

　The cafeteria is usually crowded with people, but the lighting is dim and there are no employees.

　And finally—the boss of the Cave of Silence, Thousand Blossom Alraune.

“-Why summon those three brothers and not me!” (Alraune)

　Alraune raises her voice and screams at the empty liquor cup. Then hitting the table.

　Kyuuketsu said, licking a little bit of a special tomato liquor made by the three Goblin brothers.

　Alraune and Sergeant are now screaming at each other.

　Kyuuketsu was enjoying her tomato liquor while looking at them.

“… What are you going to do suddenly! I could have died!” (Sergeant)

　That said, Kyuuketsu isn’t really trying to stop them.

　She’s indulging in her drink to care about anything else.

　While the two quarreled, she finished the tomato liquor in her glass and tried to get up and get a nearby bottle.

　Kyuuketsu reflexively took the glass and floze.

　The others stopped arguing, and their eyes were rounded as if they were looking at a ghost or something.

　Because next to Kyuuketsu, a human boy is sitting near her, and he is pouring her a drink with an innocent face.

　The next moment, Sergeant and Kyuuketsu moved away.

“What, what!? A human child !? Inside the Cave of Silence!?” (Sergeant)

“What are the Full Moon Bats patrol doing!? Enemy attack! There’s an enemy!” (Kyuuketsu)

　They were in a slight panic, but Alraune was different.

“–Narugoa!” (Alraune)

　She went towards the boy after looking and then hugs him.

　Both of them just have their eyes wide open.

“Huh, Narugoa…? This can’t be real…” (Alraune)

　Probably because of sake.

　A little more than usual—Alraune, who has become quite bold is hugged by a boy.

“It’s been a long time, everyone.”

　Seeing that gentle smile, they were convinced.
